Starting in the heart of the Sports Festival, a small incline after 500m then provided spectacular views out across the Park. This was followed by a flat loop around Petworth’s Upper Pond where you could take in the House in all its glory. Heading into the Park along a gentle descent, many of our competitors were able to spot herds of fallow deer. The route then passed by the Lower Pond, before a final gradual climb to the awaiting photographers. It was then all downhill to the finish line in front of the magnificent House.View the full route and elevation here.

It was short and sharp but opened up panoramic views including the House in the distance. There was a welcome downhill as the route went past the picturesque Lower Pond before waiting spectators cheer the competitors over the finish line in front of the House.View the full route and elevation here.
